      The Center is offering a course designed for facilities managers, engineers and other people interested in water treatment. The course is designed to demystify the various methods of water treatment (mechanical and chemical) and is presented at a level that does not require a degree in chemical engineering to understand.  The course will cover standard physical and chemical methods of water treatment as well as newer innovations. This course will help you talk intelligently with your water treatment people and make the best decision regarding treatment of your process, cooling, boiler or waste water. Photovoltaic Installer Certificate

     The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power has created a rebate program to stimulate homeowners to install photovoltaic electrical generating systems. Qualified installers for this technology are in short supply. This course was developed in conjuction with four of the areas largest solar companies and will train you to install the commercially available photovoltaic systems while meeting the needs of the most demanding employers.       This two-day short-course is designed for the facilities manager/engineer who needs to decide on appropriate methods of water treatment.

Successful completion will provide an understanding of the various methods used to treat water in HVAC systems, cooling towers, process water, and other facilities applications.
